OUR MISSION
PDF Print E-mail

Our aim is to gather men, women and children from Madagascar and the whole world, those who love baobabs and feel concerned about their preservation, conservation and valorisation in terms of economy and culture.

Through its actions, the purpose of the Association FOMBA is to contribute to the long term preservation of the Baobabs of Madagascar and of their forest ecosystem. Its mission is then to mobilise all means required to achieve such objectives and ensure the sustainability of such actions.

Besides, Friends of Madagascar's baobabs supports those who are involved in the management of the protected area , the Baobabs Alley in enhancing and promoting it.
We want to raise the awareness of « nature lovers » about the danger threatening the baobabs and to act in order to preserve each one of them as a world heritage.
Our mission is to support the promotion, rehabilitation and conservation of baobabs, which are Madagascar natural and cultural assets, and particularly of the uncommon scenery formed by the Baobabs Alley, in partnership with and to the service of men and women, to enable present and future generations to enjoy it.
Assigned to mobilise the necessary funds and means to achieve such objectives, we are an international interface for the promotion of such activities.
We aim then at captivating international attention on this marvellous and unique site and to involve each citizen of the world by giving him the opportunity to sponsor a baobab tree.
